When his resources told him that Lex was out and his mysterious new house guest was home alone, Lionel ordered the limo to turn around and head back to the mansion to get to the bottom of this. He wanted to know who this man was who dared interfere with the dealings between father and son and thus making his son weak.

As he moved through the mansion with a purposeful stride, Lionel headed right of the study. His resources were nothing but thorough of course. He burst through the door, just as he had earlier and scanned the room until he spotted the Russian sitting in front of the chess set.
